Christopher Maphosa

Regional Facilitator for English, Portuguese, and Spanish-speaking Africa

Christopher “Chris” Maphosa is an SIM missionary and an ordained pastor. He serves as the Southern Africa Manager for Today for Tomorrow. He holds a graduate certificate in Christian Ministry from MBTS in the USA, Master of Science degree in Counseling from ZOU, and is a registered counselor. He has been in full-time in Christian ministry since 1994 and with SIM since 2014. He is a regular speaker, trainer, counselor, and coach.

He is founding president of the newly formed African Professional Counsellors Association and board chair of Hope for Kids Zimbabwe. He is one of the authors of children’s materials for both community-based and Sunday School programs. Christopher is married to Nancy and has two girls and one son.

Chris facilitates GTP efforts in the following 30 countries in the English, Portuguese, and Spanish-speaking Africa (EPSA) region: Angola, Botswana, Cape Verde, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Republic of South Sudan, São Tomé & Príncipe, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
