John Oliver Roomes

John has a bachelor’s degree in Accounts and Finance and an MBA. He has worked in industrial, financial and social development sectors as accountant, chief accountant, financial controller, finance and information technology manager, before going into full-time Christian service with Jamaica Youth for Christ and later as the CEO of Wycliffe Bible Translators, Caribbean.

Since his youth, he has benefited from various Bible courses, taught Scripture, volunteered with several ministries. He is presently an elder in his church. John is married to Denise and they have adult son, daughter and son-in-law. He loves the Lord dearly and serves Him gladly.

John facilitates GTP efforts in the following 28 countries in the Carribbean region: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, The Bahamas, Barbados, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, St. Barthélemy, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Martin, St. Vincent, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands, and US Virgin Islands.
